About Stephanie

My therapeutic approach emphasizes the importance of meeting the client and family where they are at and building a connection through trust and understanding. I have experience working with children as young as five years old, adolescents, adults and families.

I specialize in supporting clients with depression, anxiety, trauma, self-esteem challenges, socialization and attention deficit disorder. When working with individual clients I utilize a variety of modalities including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Play Therapy and Mindfulness. I work to find creative ways to adapt these therapeutic modalities to my younger clientele.

In my role as a family therapist, I have been able to see the importance of the family system and how patterns of behavior are established. When working with families, I treat the entire family as my client from an unbiased viewpoint. In doing this, I support the system in making necessary changes to increase effective communication, boundary and limit setting and family cohesion.

My previous experience includes working with children, adolescents, young adults and families in various settings including school-based, home-based, an outpatient mental health clinic and an intensive outpatient program.

When not working I enjoy listening to music and podcasts, reading books and spending time outdoors with family and friends.
