About Raquel

I believe that a strong relationship with a therapist is paramount to success. I promise to be non-judgmental, friendly, and down to earth as I work with you and/or your loved ones. I support children, teens, adults, parents, and families as they navigate issues surrounding anxiety, school, depression, self-esteem, trauma, family conflict, divorce, parenting, and co-parenting. I help people make peace with their thoughts and emotions and improve coping skills. I will create a plan that meets your unique needs as we identify them together. My multidimensional and trauma-informed approach combines aspects of several interventions, modalities, and frameworks including motivational interviewing, cognitive behavioral therapy, and mindfulness work.

I have several years of professional experience providing individual and group psychotherapy, educational support and school-based mental health services, as well as experience working with parents and children involved with Child Welfare Services. I also have extensive experience working with parents to improve their parenting skills and with families navigating separation and divorce.

I am currently offering virtual sessions as well as walk and talk therapy outdoors in nature. I collaborate with schools, mental health providers, and other professionals as needed.

When I’m not working, I enjoy drawing, traveling and spending quality time with my family and pets.
