About Carly

My core belief in therapeutic practice is that everyone has inherent value and strength, that with the right support can be harnessed to create positive changes and meaningful growth. Offering a safe place where self-exploration, processing, and healing can be done, I will help you build insight, resilience through healthy coping skills, and empowerment in reaching your therapeutic goals.

I have experience working with children, adolescents, and families in multiple settings: school, in-clinic, and hospital. My goal is for my clients to feel like they have an ally in supporting their healing and growth. While knowing you are the only expert on yourself, I aim to provide an individualized treatment approach founded on your core values.

I have worked as a Medical Social Worker in the Clinical Decision Unit at Suburban Hospital, primarily working with acute illness, end of life, and substance detox patients and their families. Prior to that, I  worked as a child and family therapist at a community mental health clinic in Frederick, MD serving those both in a clinic setting and at several schools. I utilize CBT, DBT, mindfulness practice, art, play therapy, and psychodynamic approaches in my therapy practice, as I believe therapy should be a holistic treatment approach that is strength-based and flexible for the client.

When I am not working, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, taking cycle classes, and reading – especially historical fiction!
